Miranda is 10 Months :-)

10 Months!!!! Seriously!!! In 10 months, she has turned from a tiny baby, into this sweet girl, with such an amazing personality that just keeps everyone she comes in contact with smiling all day!!

New updates for this month (and there are A LOT!):

  • She now eats all 3rd stage foods & finger foods - She likes pancakes, bananas, pears, apples, bread, and a few other items. I tried mashed potatoes, and although the concept was good, my ratio was off. Miranda has a milk allergy, so I used formula instead (OK, I know it sounds gross, but she LOVES formula). Anyway, I had to much formula for to few potatoes, and Miss Miranda was not pleased...haha :-) We are trying more real foods though, but the 3rd foods are helping her get into pasta, meat , and thicker foods more.

  • She still says 'dada' and other forms of it, but we are trying other words..."mmmmm, num num num" seems to happen often

  • She pulls herself up to standing! She even tries to let go to stand on her own, but then falls onto her sweet booty. Miranda will most likely be walking un-assisted before she's 1, It's a given! (She can still walk only holding onto one of our hands.)

  • She crawls everywhere! This girl is On The Move!

  • She sleeps well still, but going to bed is not easy anymore. She used to go down after her last meal around 7/7:30. Now she likes to stand in her crib, and EAT IT!! So we ordered covers for the crib since she bit into the paint....Her teething keeps her from getting to sleep, but she sleeps until around 6:30am.

  • Her naps are off now too - When she wakes up now, she's so tired, so she'll go back down after her bottle for another hour until about 7:30/8am. Her next nap usually is around 1, but this seems to change daily now too.

  • Loves To Dance!! She's been dancing since the womb, but she just loves music. She rocks back and forth when her TV theme songs come on (especially Backyardigans, and Hot Dog from Mickey Mouse Club). Her jams include, ABC's, Elmo's Song, and oh yea, "I've Got A Feeling' by the Black Eyed Peas!!! She loves her dance music! Haha :-)

  • LAUGHING! I had to include this b/c she loves to laugh, smile giggle! She just gets so excited about so many things, especially tickle spots that daddy found, or mommy blowing on her belly....she smiles once she sees the camera appear. Such a happy baby....we are so blessed.

I feel like month 9 really showed so much growth for her in her motor skills, speech, awareness of things around her, teeth, and height! She's growing so fast, right before our eyes. It's just amazing how she continuously learns new things each day. It's amazing to watch her!!

One thing we are both excited started up again, is she'll nap on us! It doesn't happen often, but when she's super sleepy, she'll put her head on either of our chests, and just fall asleep...that's just pure bliss right there :-)

We are also in pure party planning mode which is sooo much fun!! (Ok, truth be told I've been planning her birthday since before she was born! Haha!) But now invites are almost out, and it's officially almost her 1st Birthday!! I can not believe we'll have a daughter with the word 'year' in her age...crazy....Mike and I are so blessed to have such an amazing child...As I get emotional over here, I'll start the pictures now :-)

Try to keep a 10 month old down for pictures and this is what happens...

Happy 10 Months Baby Girl!!!

Mommy & Daddy - 1st night without the baby!

CRAZY!!

So mike and I have both been away individually, but not TOGETHER! (CRAZY CONCEPT, I KNOW!Haha!)
So for Father's day, Mike's parents gave him a night away with me :-) It was WONDERFUL!!! We stayed in Harrah's in AC...driving in was just wonderful. We had a fun car ride, just chatting away, and before we knew it, we arrived! Exhausted, we both took a nap! haha! Then we went to 'The Pool.' This is for adults only, and becomes a club at night. In the daytime though, it's strict security! I mean STRICT! You need your room key, slip that came with your room key, and photo IDs for anyone walking in...silly little thing though - THEY NEVER TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED UNTIL YOU GET TO FRONT DOOR! So needless to say, poor Mike had to run back to our room 3 times!! Sooo many people tried to get in and were turned away. They need a sign, or tell you at check-in, but once we got it all sorted out, the relaxation began :-)

My Malibu Bay Breeze to kick off the night! :-)

Pix of 'The Pool' - Soooo Nice!!! A 4ft. pool so you could just walk in and relax, adults only, bars and hot tubs all over :-) Ahhhh :-)

We made reservations to eat dinner at Dos Caminos, which is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant!! Sooo Yummy!! I got a lobster enchilada!! We had sangria, and overlooked the marina from our table...pure bliss :-)

I'm ready for our night out -

I love this man sooo much!!! -

Unfortunately, we were not big winners in gambling this night - $0.15!! Haha!! We only did slots, and not for long. We just had fun walking around and hanging out :-)

The next day we went to Smithville, and ate lunch at Fred & Ethel's and walked around to the cute shops.
It was such a nice getaway! Mike's parents watched Miranda (THANK YOU!!) and we just had a really nice time. It was great to come home though and get baby kisses from my sweet pea!!:-)

Happy Father's Day!! (Mike's 1st!) :-)

Father's day weekend was so lovely!! It started off at dad's house, where Miranda showed off her skills, of pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, crawling, and realizing in the swing Zayda set up :-) It was a really great afternoon!

On Father's day, Mike played in his softball league, and then came home to find a surprise from his Peanut and Dolly :-)

Peanut was so excited to give her daddy his present! :-)

We went over to Mike's parents and had a great time splashing in the pool and enjoying a BBQ :-) (I even made Shortrib Lasagna Rolls!) :-)

Here's our little model getting ready for the pool -

Fun Pool Time Pictures! Miranda loves being in the water, and watching Butchie run around the pool, or splash with her in the water :-)
