Miranda Goes to the Beach & Pool for the 1st Time :-)

What an exciting Memorial Day Weekend 2011!

It started actually early for us b/c we wanted to get Miranda to the beach on a day that was not crowded yet. So work let out early on Friday and off to the Bradley Beach we went :-) We got out of the car, and Miranda was terrified! Like, "where are you taking me?" and held onto Mike's arm! It was so cute!! Once on the Beach, she was much better. We had her sitting in the sand, and even walking in the sand (our baby girl loves to walk!). Mike held her, while I took film footage but the waves rolled up onto her tiny feet! The water was a bit cold still, but she did not seem to mind at all! It was really sweet, and just amazing to see her at the BEACH!!!

Jersey Shore, look out! Snooki ain't got nothing on Miranda!:-) Haha! :-)

And of course, we have to have video(s) - (In fact we have more, but I know this blog can only go so far) :-)

She liked the water and sand on her toes :-)

It was a fun day at the beach!

That following Monday was Memorial Day, we went to our community pool.

Before we hit the pool, we had to do our photo shoot! Elmo was a participant in this photo shoot :-) -

Our Little Model -

We arrived at the pool and of course, took more pictures! :-)

Chilaxin on the lounge chair :-)

It was so cute, b/c at first, Miranda was like, 'wow, lots of people.' Then we got closer to the water and she had a look on her face, like, why are we getting closer? This isn't bath time?' Haha! So I walked into the pool with her, and it was COLD! However, once we were in, it got better. I think she was nervous at first, but then felt much better with it. It was really a fun time!! Pay no attention to me or my pale body! Haha :-)

Fun Pool Pix -

This first one she looks like she did on her first bath - terrified! Haha (trust me, they get much better though and ends in full SMILES!)

One more b/c I can't resist -

The weekend ended with a BBQ at Nana & Papa's house :-)

It was a WONDERFUL weekned full of many firsts for Miranda (and her parents!) :-)

Peanut is 9 Months!!!!

It took 9 months to bring you into this world, and now you are that age!!!! My little lovebug is growing into the most amazing, sweetest, most precious girl!!! I am in awe of her every day!!

Let's see what our Peanut/Lovebug/Boo Bear (yes, many nicknames) has accomplished this month:

- Wears 6-9 month clothes, but can still fit into many 3-6 month bottoms
- Weighed in at 17 lbs 7oz (28%) at her 9 month appt last week and grew to 27.5 inches (52%)
- Attempting crawling but usually gets on her knees and either goes backward or falls onoto belly (Edit - She started crawling this past week on tuesdat June 1st!)
- Attempting to pull herself up onto anything she can! Her toys, our knees, you name, she wants to stand! She LOVES to Walk!!! Serioulsy, just loves standing, jumping and walking, so although not crawling, doctor says this is great!
(Edit - She pulls herself up now on our knee, or anythign at her height level!!)
- Plays peek-a-boo, just started to wave (and now loves to wave hello and goodbye to daddy!) and attempting to clap
- Still only says "dada" & other forms of it (ada, dodo, ado-da... anything that has "d" HA!)
- Has 1 tooth (bottom front), and it seems she might have two coming in the bottom back soon too)
- Still likes her excersaucer, and finally got used to the pack and play. (Tries to pull herself up in there too!)
- Finishing up 2nd foods, and will begin 3rd soon. She pretty much eats any of the combos we gave her. The only things that has been a no-go are Rice, Turkey and Peaches. We are hoping a different brand of turnkey helps out.
- Turned the tub around for the toddler side, and she loves playing with her toys in there (a bally and ducks). However, I think we have to move to the big tub very soon b/c she grabs for everythign, including the faucet!
- We have story time every night, and she LOVES Elmo's SO BIG book. The last page opens to a VERY LARGE Elmo, and she smiles and gets excited everytime. She reached for it twice today for me to read it to her. (I love the 'How Do I Love You'book :-)
- Miranda goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 6-6:30. Her naps are off but it was 10am and 2pm.

OK, enough talking, let's get to some pictures :-)
