11 Years! :-)

Today, 9-28-10, marks 11 years that Mike and I have been together :-) It all started 11 years ago in the 3rd floor hallway of Mimosa dorm at Rowan University. Two kids started dating, and 11 years later, they are married with a baby girl :-)
I'm seriously the luckiest woman in the world! Mike is the most amazing husband and father. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life!

(We went out for the first time since Miranda was born. We enjoyed a dink at Metro, Dinner at La Cipollina, and we even saw a movie - 'The Town.' It was a wonderful night with my babe) :-)

1 Month Old!!!

Where did the past month go!?!? I have a baby who is 1 month! How crazy! I'm so in love with this child :-) Being a mom is like nothing else and no one can prepare you for this new world of mommyhood. I've seen friends become parents over the years but to experience it is not even possible to put into words how amazing it is.

Miranda is just amazing. She changes everyday. Now she is holding her head up more, focusing her eyes more, making more sounds, grabbing at our clothes and more. She feeds every 3-4 hours. We are hoping she will start sleeping longer as she is now eating about 3-4oz at each feeding. She was 7lbs and 9oz last week, so doc said she'll be eating more now and continue to grow and gain weight. I'm still breast feeding, but pumping has helped with the feedings. However, I would like to sleep more b/c even though Mike is beyond helpful, and able to feed Miranda now, I still have to get up to pump for comfort reasons. Hopefully this will get easier as she eats and sleeps more - both she and I will adjust more.
As for her size, Miranda is still in newborn clothes, and diapers. She wears size 1 diapers too, but the NB size fits great and 1 is a little large, but very doable. Mike refers to her as "peanut" b/c shes so tiny :-) (other nicknames for Miranda include: Sweetness, Baby Girl, Lady Bug, & Cutie).

27 Days Old Today - Doc Visit

Miranda is 27 days old and has grown from 6lbs to 7lbs and 9oz! She also grew an inch to 20 inches long now! :-) Today, Miranda also received her first shot - the Hep B shot. She did so good! Mommy was more scared than baby, but we got through it! haha :-)
OUR LITTLE SWEET PEA IS GROWING SO FAST! OK,so maybe I'm hormonal, but this whole week I've just been watching Miranda change and grow, and honestly it's happening so fast! She will be 1 month on Monday! She is already lifting her head, and her legs are super strong! She basically stands up on her own (OK, not really on her own, but her legs are planted straight and she is not moving!) We have been doing tummy time, and she's getting the idea of it more. I am so in love with my daughter and it's really amazing to watch her grow. She has the world in front of her and can be whoever and whatever she wants to be. I'm honored to be her mommy.

Miranda is 3 weeks old :-)

How did the time fly so fast? I feel like she was just in my belly! Now she is 3 weeks!
Our little peanut (as Mike calls her) or sweetness (as I call her) is already 6lbs 14oz! In fact, I think she is larger than that by now. We go back to the doc on Thursday and will know more then. She is eating very well now. The first two weeks were tough, but now that we have introduced the bottle, she is doing better and so am I. Mike is able to feed her at night (and day) which helps me tremendously! I felt like I could not keep up at first with the feedings, but our little girl went from 6lbs to 6 14oz in a week, so she is growing and needed more. I am happy with her now feeding both from me and bottle. And the most important is she is happy too :-)

Nobody can explain how wonderful parenthood is! I mean, we brought this little life into the world and watching her grow is just amazing. We do tummy time now (not for long periods) but she's getting the hang of it more and more. Miranda is super strong and can even start holding herself up on her legs! Her neck is super strong too. We think she'll be a runner or gymnast :-)

We can just sit here and stare at her. She's just perfect and wonderful :-) I'm so in love with my sweetness :-)

Miranda was a wonderful model during her first photo shoot :-) She was 5 days old when these were taken. I can't believe how big she has gotten since these pix were taken. Our little peanut is growing up so fast!! :-)

Miranda has been greeted by so many people who love her! Thank you to everyone for coming by and your calls, etc :-)








We also took her for her first walk and she slept through some of it, cried through some of it too...haha :-)




She's so little, that we thought a picture of her in her '0' month onsie would be great against the big panda :-)

Miranda's First Sponge Bath :-)

I do not think she knew what was about to happen, but from the picture, you can tell she was none to pleased! Haha! Poor girl, did not like the cold, even though the towel was warm. But she did great, and got all clean. We wrapped her up in her pink Pooh towel, and then she went right to sleep :-)

I mean, c'mon, Sonny and Brenda are getting back together and Miranda was soooo interested to know what will happen :-) We watch at 3pm on ABC, if we can, or Soap Net at night. My little girl loves the ABC soaps already!!

Miranda Goes To The Doctor & Shopping For The 1st Time :-)

After 2 days home, we took Miranda to her first doctor visit. She gained back 2oz, so now she's 6lbs and 2oz! WooHoo!! She did great and doc was very pleased.


Then we needed some essentials so we took Miranda on her first shopping trip! Babies R Us was Miranda's first store. She slept through the whole shopping experience! Haha :-)
