10yr Cancer Free Anniversary For My Mom!!!

August 2nd 2012 = 10 years Cancer Free for my mom!!!!

This is such an exciting day and there is so much to celebrate!! :-)

The past 10 years my mom has overcome the struggles of cancer, received TWO new knees, has her business going, saw both her children get married, became a grandma three times over, and soooo much more!

Mom, you are an inspiration to all of us and we love you soooo much!!!

Mazel Tov on 10yrs cancer free! We told mom to meet us for dinner at the restaurant. While she got there, we set up! Of course, cake pops were involved :-)

Many family members wanted to attend but due to location, were unable to. So everyone emailed me a saying, their thoughts for mom. We placed them all in a beautiful card. It was like everyone was in attendance (gotta love technology!)

Michigan Trip - Summer 2012

Yes, we love road trips! Well, sort of :-)

It's a great way to get from point A to B but with a growing toddler, we have to get creative! Last year we drove to South Carolina and although Miranda was younger then, it was not as easy as we thought. So driving to Michigan this year was a little scary but I must say, Miranda did AMAZING!! She had one issue on the ride home. Basically, an hour from home (after driving 9), she woke up and scared herself b/c it was dark out and her nose was stuffed. She was screaming so loud, we pulled over and got her to calm down. We ended up in a Sonic parking lot and let her walk around for a little bit. However, she did not want to get back in. So Mike pretended to "call Elmo" while getting the portable DVD (AKA - our savior!) ready. Elmo came on the screen and Mike said "I called Elmo and he's ready to help you get home - are you ready?" She went back into the car very easily and we got home in less then an hour. In total it took about 11-12 hours to drive to Michigan and slightly less to drive home, but we stopped every hour 1/2 to 2 hours for breaks, so all in all it wasn't to bad.

Michigan was a great trip! Miranda met her Great Grandma for the first time!! It was so exciting. Even more exciting, is that Mike's grandma was able to be with her kids, grand kids, and great kinds at one time! It was very cool! We saw family we don't get to see and had a wonderful time!

Obviously I went crazy with my picture taking, but these were important pictures to get! So I won't post ALL the pix, but here's a nice variety :-)

Our Minnie Mouse

Miranda LOVES Minnie Mouse so when her school had dress up day, it was only fitting for her to be her fav character! (That and the fact she was sick on Halloween so she could not wear costume then) :)
I tried the costume on her before hand to make sure it fit, and when I took it off, she was sooo upset! "Minnie!!!" it was so sweet and I felt so bad, but she was super happy going to school as Minnie Mouse :)
