This Road Called Life: Daddy's Birthday!!

The most AMAZING hubby and daddy turned 31 on April 4th and Mommy & Miranda kept surprising him throughout the night before and day of. Here's how it all went down:

April 2nd -
Mike and I went out with friends to celebrate Mike's birthday! We went to Esconditos for dinner, and met up with more friends at Moore's afterwards for drinks. Nana watched Miranda, so we were able to go out and have a nice evening. I might have embarrassed Mike a bit with a little song from the servers, but it's all in good fun. This is a picture of all of us at dinner, and of course, the birthday boy and myself, and Cele and me too :-)

Exciting News From Rich & Steph - THEY ARE EXPECTING A BABY IN OCTOBER!!! YAY!!! -

April 3rd -
Mommy & Miranda took to the stores, carriage and all, to put the finsihing touches on daddy's surprise :-) Together, we baked daddy his favorite, Chocolate Peanut butter pie! Yummy!!

April 4th -
Happy Birthday Babe!!!
Mike woke up to a sign that said "Happy Birthday Daddy" on the wall. He was greeted with a smiley baby girl wishing him a wonderful day!
I had to go to work, but when I walked in the door, I told Mike to sit on the couch with the baby facing me, and to close his eyes. I walked over to Miranda and gave her a balloon to give to Mike! When he opened his eyes, he was given the balloon by his Peanut!! He laughed, it was adorable!! I also gave him a balloon tied to his favorite beer, Honeybrown! :-)

Then came presents! Miranda gave her daddy a special book called, My Super Dad. It is a book that every page is a picture of Mike's face, so she can see her super dad in this story :-) He can read it to her. She signed the front cover and everything!

My gift was a bit broader - A NEW PHONE!!! and not just any phone, but an IPHONE!! :-) It took a few hours to set up, but now he has a phone with Internet and even face time! He was very excited!

We had lunch as a family at TGI Fridays:-)

We went to his parents house for dinner. Mike's parents ordered one of his favorite dishes, Shrimp Parmigiana! Yummy!! We had two cakes, and presents!
