July 4th Weekend = AMAZING!! :-)

Things have been a bit hectic lately, and the craziness of daily life just needed to stop for a second...Well it did just that on this July 4th weekend. We had an AMAZING weekend!!

My company gave off on Friday, so the fun began on Friday! :-)

We knew we wanted to take Miranda to new places, and just have fun being a family. So first stop was the Point Pleasant Boardwalk :-) We originally though we'd walk around, and maybe go on a ride or two. Well the rides were definitely to old for our sweet pea, so we opted against those until next year. We grabbed lunch and ate crab cakes (well Miranda has pureed sweet potatoes, blueberries, apples, and pumpkin)...YUMM! :-) Oh yea, and her favorite, PUFFS! (she loves those things!)





We went to walk some more, and thought it was getting warm, so to cool off we decided to go into the Jenkinson's Aquarium :-) I'M SOOOO GLAD WE DID!!! What a cool place!! I mean REALLY COOL!! It's a small aquarium, and that was just perfect for our Peanut :-) She saw fishies, birds, and even a monkey! She LOVED the seals and penguins. She would get a little scared on some of the colorful fish as they swam close, or the sharks too. She would grab our shirts a bit tights (it was so cute!!). We all had a wonderful time at the Aquarium :-)

We ended our wonderful day playing in the sand. Miranda LOVED touching the sand, and feeling it in her fingers, and hands. She also had fun walking (almost running) in the sand as well.

It was such a wonderful time in Point Pleasant :-)

The next day was Saturday, and again, we knew we wanted to go somewhere fun. We had perfect weather and decided to go to the Spray Grounds in a near by town. These were soooo much fun! And the best part - IT"S FREE! :-) It's a mini water/splash park. Peaople come for picnics and spend the day splashing in water, or swinging on the swings in the dry play ground. Beach towels and chairs everywhere, BBQ's and pizza were all over! People were enjoying their Saturday afternoon, and so did we! :-)

Sunday brought torential storms, so our plans to go to the fireworks in town were cancelled b/c all of the fireworks in the area were rescheduled....So this called for a PHOTO SHOOT DAY!! :-)

Miranda LOVES photo shoots :-) (so does mommy!) So much so, that we did another one on July 4th morning :-)






On July 4th, we took Miranda to Nana & Papa's pool and splashed all day :-) July 4th was perfect weather wise, and the BBQ was DE-LISH! :-)
Miranda loves Butchie, and he just wanted to cuddle that day, so he took pix with Mike and I :-)
