This Road Called Life: Miranda-isms :-) 18 Months!!

Miranda Rose - 18 Months - 1 year and a half!! Miranda just turned 18 months, and I thought it would be fun to add a survey of what she's been up to - First of all, wow, where did the year go!?!? Last year, I would pose Miss Miranda in the big chair in her room for her monthly photo, and this year, she is running all over! :-)

Last year, we held her up for 'standing photos' (see Mike's arm), this year, she climbs onto the couch by herself!

Here are some more stats:
•Weight: 21.5 lbs (10th percentile)
•Height: 31.5 inches (42nd percentile)
•Head circumference: 48.2 (88th percentile) She's looking good in her numbers, and although still small in weight, doc was happy she went up from 7th to 10th percentile, so all is good :-)
•Favorite Things To Do: ◦Play in the living room - She climbs on her house, and brings us books to read to her. She also loves throwing the beach ball and smaller balls too.
◦Miranda LOVES looking through our photo albums. She'll pull one out at a time, and point to people. If she knows their face, she says their name. If she doesn't, she points, looks at us, and waits for a reply of why they are :-)
◦Watch TV (We limit her shows but her favorites are Sid The Science Kid and Seaseme Street (Miranda LOVES Elmo!)
◦Sign Language - Miranda signs a lot now. She uses sign to let us know what she wants - her most used sign is 'more' where she puts her fingers together. We say, 'Miranda, do you want more' and she then replies 'yea'
◦Playing with building blocks ◦Playing outside... when it's not freezing like it has been ◦DANCING!!! Mranda is a dancing machine and just LOVES music!!
◦Helping us clean up. I ask her to do little things like throw something away for me or put something back in her room & she will do it in a heartbeat with a smile on her face!
◦Lullabye Time - I sing to her everynight and she snuggles on my shoulder - Billy Joel's 'Lullabye', followed by 'Goodnight sweetheart' but I change sweetheart to 'boo bear'
•Least Favorite Things: ◦Drinking milk -She will not drink milk...so now we have a cool cup with a fun straw, and sometimes, she'll take a sip from it to see the milk go throough, but otherwise, she is a water/juice girl from her sippy cups. We do give her a lot of yogurt and cheese to make up for the milk.
◦Brushing her teeth - Only if she sees the Elmo bottle, will she say its OK to brush her teeth - She needs to know Elmo brushes too :-)
◦Hair going into pig tails - but if I give her the brush, she'll brush her own hair, and then she's OK with any style I do :-)

◦Baby - points at desatin, and knows it goes on a baby
◦No (This one might be one of her favorites....)

◦Nana (nana, grandma & banana... 3 meanings for 1 word!)
