Doing It All....

& smiling in the process....Being a working mom is not easy! G-d bless all you mom and dads out there! Being a parent is the hardest and most rewarding job there is! You do not get a vacation, you do not get paid over time, but you get this amazing little child who is just wonderful in every way!

I am happy I am back at work, but I'm also exhausted. It's hard to get up everyday and go to work, b/c when i come home, I'm still at work...my job is 24/7 and I am always on (sort of like parenting). So now I have two jobs, and no sleep...see the disconnect? I'm trying to juggle it all. Thankfully, I seriously have the most amazing hubby in the world to help me get through it all. He is just such an amazing hubby, father, and best friend. I know it might sound corny but I am so lucky to have Mike in my life. He keep me balanced while life is throwing things in the air. I just want to figure out a routine where I can work, yet have time for my family, as well as myself! (Oh yea, her!) As parents, we tend to forget about our needs, and its important to remember we are people too. I really want to get back into my exercise routine but finding the time is so hard. When I'm home I want to be spending my time with my babes, Mike & Miranda (or getting some much needed sleep). Instead, I'm working, working, working. It is my busy season, so it gets tougher now in the spring, but I just need to find some sort of balance....Any ideas on how? I'm open to hearing them!

Onto better and happier things - MIRANDA ROSE!!!!
*She's still in size 1 diapers
*Eats 8oz of formula every 3 hours. However, we now have started her on Apples, and Bananas! She eats the jar now!
*Wears 3 month and just starting 3-6 month tops.
*Rolls from back to belly & belly to back, but mostly back to belly, especially at night. She sleeps on her belly now (just like mommy & daddy, except she puts her little booty in the air!)
*She's definitely an assisted sitter, but LOVES to stand and jump! Maybe she'll skip crawling all together? Hehe.
*Sleeps from 8-9pm thru 6:30-7:30am in her crib. Wakes up occasionally at 12am to be changed.
*Reaches & tries to grab everything & then it goes straight to the mouth (even our cell phones!
*No signs of teeth (says Dr. T) but she drools like crazy! Plus she gnaws on Sophie the giraffe and Sammy the octopus!
*Starting to respond to her name & looks for us when she hears our voices.
*Loves her excersaucer!! Jumping, jumping, and more jumping!!

Miranda & Her Excersaucer

Miranda has a new toy - Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun Jungle!!. It's a 3 part toy. The first part is for floor and tummy time. The second part becomes a jumper/bouncy seat and the third part is a play table for when she's standing. It's a great toy and so much to play on it! There is a funny lizard that glows and plays a song that sounds like "The Monkey's" sing it! She loves it. Her feet don't hit the ground though, which is so cute! She loves her toy and I have added some videos below to show you her first time in it. Miranda says: Thank you Grandma :-)

5 Months!

I KNOW I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE, BUT SERIOUSLY, WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?!

My little sweet pea is officially 5 months old! That's one month to go before she is a 1/2 a year! I know that might sound crazy, but this is HUGE deal! She's such a little peanut at 13lbs, and 24 1/2 inches, but she rolls, laughs, stands, even walks! (OK, not really, but she does put one foot in front of the other while we hold her!):-) Miranda Rose is just an amazing little girl! I'm sure everyone says that about their kids, but watching your own child experience milestones from eating to rolling to even finding her fingers is just so amazing and I can't even begin to explain the joy this feeling gives me.

We tried Miranda on apples, and she seems to tolerate them, but she really liked bananas...Now I also figured out a secret - Hold the 'Take-A-Long Tunes' in one hand while feeding with the other! She loves the colors and sounds it makes, so she does not even realize that this new food is entering her! Haha!

We tried to do a 5 month photo shoot, but she was a bit tired today, so we'll try again tomorrow. Pix to come! (and video too - Miranda and her excersaucer!) :-)

We Have A Roller!!!!

Today, January 18th at 1:45pm, Miranda rolled over from her back to her belly!!! OMG!!! I can't even handle it right now!! It was so exciting to watch! For the past few weeks she has been getting her legs over but not really her body. Then yesterday she got so close, we thought any day now. Today Mike was playing with her in her room, and called for me to come saying it will happen soon, and guess what!?!? IT DID!!! I am sooo happy I was here to see her roll for the very first time!! It was amazing! She rolled from back to tummy and then hung out on her arms watching herself in the mirror! Talk about a milestone!! I want to celebrate and get a her a cake, but she can't eat it yet! Haha :-)

I thought since we are talking milestones, it's a good time to start showing a Miranda Survey!

Weight: 12lbs 4oz (however, this was at her last appt, and I think she'll be more when we go again this friday)
Height: 23 1/2inches
Diapers: Size 1
Clothes: 0-3months & 3month onesies & has outgrown most of her footed 0-3mo jammies ::tear:: ::sniff::
Milestones: Officially rolling over from back to tummy!! Grabs everything & puts it directly in her mouth. Recognizes mom & dad & our voices. We also think Miranda is in the early stages of teething. No teeth or buds yet, but tons of bubbles, drool and biting down on things.
Eats: 7oz every 3 hours - We started Rice the other day, but had to stop b/c it was giving her a rash. We'll know on Friday if we can start her up again, but it was so cute seeing her sit up in her high chair!
Sleep: Miranda was sleeping through the night with two hour spurts on each end - 8:30-10:30pm thru 5:30-7:30am...However the past three nights she has woken up many times in the night, which I think is another sign of teething and growing.
Loves: bath time, her fingers, standing (we call her "matrix baby!"), dancing to Bob Marley!
Dislikes: Getting her nose & throat suctioned {but who does?!}, Tummy time but tolerates it and actually in the past few days getting so much better with it!

Miranda is growing so much everyday! It's so amazing to watch her and know we created her! I just can't get over it...just amazing! :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Wow, I can't believe it's here already, but 2011 has begun! 2010 definitly borught its shares of ups and downs. Our biggest, and most exciting 'UP' was Miranda Rose :-) I does not feel like I was pregnant at this time last year! I know time flies, but man, it seems to go faster as I get older. I remeber being a kid and enjoying time off, etc. Now, I feel like even the laziest of days goes so fast! And here we are a brand new year...2011.

Miranda stayed up until midnight with Grandma, Nana, Papa, Daddy & me :-) She knew it was a special night, and could not go to sleep early! :-) The adults played Trivia Pursit, and Aggrivation, while we ate cherry stuffed tomatoes, bruchetta, pizza and choco chip cookies (YUM!). Everything was going perfectly, and then 11:56pm, Miranda takes the biggest poop all over her daddy!!! It was hysterical, but man, I have never changed a diaper so fast in my life! I took the baby, Mike went to get changed, and by 11:59, we had 35 seconds until the ball dropped, and Mike could not get his leg into his pant leg b/c the fabric got stuck!! Haha!!

The video below shows the crazy madness that occured on this very memorable New Years Eve!

May 2011 bring the happiness that so many people so rightfully deserve! May everyone be healthy, and have a wonderful year!! :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
