Happy 4 Year Anniversary To Me & My Babe!!

Yes, 4 years!!!
I can't believe 4 years have come and gone already! So much has happened, and now we are about to be parents! We have lived, laughed and loved :-) I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. He's just a wonderful man, and I love him more every day! We watch our wedding video every year so I'm excited to see it today and see how much has changed, etc:-)
For those who don't know, we met back in college (Rowan U!!) where we lived on the 3rd floor in Mimosa Hall together :-) He came walking around to introduce himself with his suite mate and I instantly had a crush! A few days after moving into to college, Hurricane Floyd hit, and everyone on the floor became instant friends b/c we were all able to just hang out. I met some of my best friends during that hurricane. Mike and I grew closer as friends and I always said we'd either be best friends or boyfriend/girlfriend. Well, in the end I got both. 4 years of college, and 3 years of dating after, we were married on July 23, 2006. We have traveled the world, been through all stories you can imagine, and through it all we are still side by side. I seriously fall more in love every day and I am so excited to live the rest of my days with the man of my dreams!
If you are reading this babe, I love you so much and wish you a wonderful anniversary, plus all the happiness in the world! You are an amazing husband and I can't wait to see you holding our daughter when you become a father! We are going to be awesome parents!!! Hahaha! (had to toot our horn there for a sec!) Haha :-)

Exercise is Key!

So I am right on track with my weight, however, to make sure I do not go over, my doc wants me to maintain where I am at now (at almost 34 weeks). I don't know how I can maintain this weight for another 5 weeks b/c my little girl is growing rapidly! So today I decided to take control again. I started my day with egg whites, and ate small meals throughout the day (rather than large ones). I also took my stress to the streets, and took a walk around our development. I put my sneakers on, ipod, and grabbed my water. Off I went! I felt great when I got home, and also did the express workout of my prenatal DVD. This was a great workout, b/c I got my cardio in (walking), and toning (DVD). I then made an amazing (if i do say so myself) eggplant and red pepper sandwich for dinner with mozzarella and balsamic vinaigrette! It was delish! I can't just sit on the couch anymore, and even though I'm tired, I have to still move it and groove it. I know it's hard to loose the weight after the baby is born, and my little girl is getting larger, as am I. I'd like to take back control now so I have an easy rest of the pregnancy. I want to control my body swelling up, and I think walking will help with that. I was very good about exercising a lot during this pregnancy, but the last few weeks I have been slacking and my weight shows it. I plan to get back on track as of today (however, I am still having my ice cream tonight!) Hey, a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do! :-)

33 Weeks! (and 2 days) :-)

OK, so I'm a bit behind on this post b/c it was a crazy wonderful weekend! Friday night was Ryan & Nicole's wedding. It was a great wedding, and we all had a really fun time :-) Then Saturday was Dana's 30th birthday in Connecticut. It was so great to see Dana and Micheal! We live so far away, and it's wonderful when we are able to get together :-) Mike and I crashed yesterday, but today we have to have energy again b/c the nursery furniture is on it's way!! WooHoo!! And if the rain stays away, we are taking maternity pictures tonight on the beach! :-) I'm so excited!!

Here are some pix from this weekend -

Dana won't allow me to post pix, so here is one of Mike and I on the beach at the party -

33 weeks has brought on the fun ol' braxton hicks contractions! Oy vey...they hurt like nothing else! I have experienced it twice - once at Applebees, and once at the wedding..yes, at the wedding of all places! I stopped dancing and took it easy after the pain went away. The joys of pregnancy!

Nursery is Painted!!

Mike worked so hard in the nursery and it shows! It looks so good (and PURPLE!) Ok, more like lilac, but it really looks pretty :-) Mike spent all day yesterday painting the room, and today was touch-up day. He also painted a shelf I made back in 7th grade (Mr. Nuesum's Wood shop class!) I thought it would be a perfect shelf for the room, and it will be! It went from wood to white and also looks really good. Furniture arrives Monday! This room is coming togethr and I'm so excited!! :-)

I Heart Etsy!!

I know I have spoken about this FABULOUS website before, but I am more addicted than ever! I finally figured out how to work it with Pay Pal and my orders have begun to arrive! I fell in love with a bow clip holder by one of the sellers. The item she showed is in pink, and we all know how I love purple, so I asked the seller is she can make the item in other colors. I told her the room would be lilac and light green accents and she said she'll have a great design ready to go for me :-) It even comes with an extra bow on the top left :-)

The box arrived today and I can't wait to hang it up!!!
(I'm attaching two pix b/c the lighting was bad on both, so this gives a general idea). The bow holder lighter in person though. Yay!!

32 weeks = 8 MONTHS!!!! :-)

Yes, you read that correctly! 8 Months!!! 8 weeks left! Holy Moly!!!
So to kick this month off into high gear...IT'S NURSERY TIME!! Yes, that's correct, we are painting this week! (well Mike will be painting...hehe) We bought paint samples to see what looks best, and I think we have decided on Lavender Lace from Valspar. So on Tuesday, we are going to Lowes to buy the gallons! Woohoo!! I hung up clothes we have received today and took gifts out of bags and started placing them in drawers, etc. It's so fun to see what Sweet Pea has been given, and now we are actually placing these items in her room! :-) The furniture arrives next Monday, so I think by the end of next week (which also happens to be our 4 yr anniversary), I think we'll have pix ready to post! Yay!!! I'm very excited b/c I want to know that Sweet Pea's room is ready to go for her arrival - which is getting closer every day!!! WooHoo!! :-)

Back From Babymoon & 31 Weeks!!

We are back from our Babymoon in Washington D.C. and had a wonderful time!

We arrived on Thursday July 1st and went to Ray's Hell Burger for lunch. This is the restaurant the Obama just ate at last week! The burgers were HUGE! and yummy!
We decided to get our sight seeing on and headed over the Arlington National Cemetery to start our journey. It was very close to our hotel, and we had time before we went to the baseball game. It was very interesting to see where the Kennedy's are, as well as the tomb of the unknown soldier. In fact, we saw the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier as well. It was very moving.

After, we got our baseball gear on, and walked 2 blocks to the Metro from our hotel and saw the Mets vs. Nationals. It was a very nice stadium, and our seats were first tier first row! It was a nice night. Unfortunately, the Mets did not win, however, we still had a good time.

We slept in Friday, and then headed to the Zoo. It was a very nice Zoo, and the panda's were amazing!! They were my favorite!

A mommy Ape and a Baby Ape :-)

The Panda was so cute!

When we got back, we got ready to go out to a nice dinner at Rosemary's Thyme Bistro in DuPont Circle. We felt like we were pro's at the Metro already! Let me tell you, the food was DELICIOUS!!! I even tried a new type of dessert called Kunefe, and it was quite yummy!

Saturday we slept in again b/c we were exhausted from the walking the day before. We woke up to a new week though - 31 weeks!!!!
Our first stop for the day was Ford's Theater, and they have a cool museum to walk through about Lincoln's last day, along with his family life. A park ranger tells a story of exactly how his assassination happened while we sit in the theater where it occurred. Then you walk across the street to the actual house where Lincoln died. It was very informative.
Due to the holiday, the Smithsonian's were open later, so we hopped back on the metro and got off to see the American History museum. Fonzie's jacket, Dorothy's ruby slippers, Michelle Obama's inaugural dress, Julia Child's kitchen, the trains, plane, and automobiles! It was a very cool museum!

Sunday (July 4th) was our day to see all the National Monuments and my cousin Sara! Sara lives in DC and was able to meet us on Sunday for Brunch. We went to a great place called Bread & Chocolate! (I mean, the name says it all!)

Sara & I -

It was great to see Sara, and when we parted, Mike and I headed to the Lincoln Memorial, followed by Korean war, WWII, and Vietnam. We ended at the White House, which is actually smaller in person then you'd expect, but still amazingly cool to see!

We went to the Iwo Jima Memorial to see the fire works over all the National Monuments. What a sight to see! We decided that going to the Mall would be to crowded, and although Iwo Jima was crowded, it was perfect!! I mean seriously gorgeous! To see the fireworks over the Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Capitol building was an amazing sight to see!

All in all , our DC Babymoon was FABULOUS! Unfortunately it was very hot, and as you can tell, we did a TON of walking. My shins were really hurting, and I definitely needed to stop along the way. However, I was a trooper and we saw all the sights we wanted to see :-) I love just spending time with my hubby, and considering this was our last vaca, just the two of us, it was important we got to see what we wanted to, and have fun while doing it! I only wish now, we could go away again! Haha! :-)

And to end this (long!) post with my 31 week belly picture -
